Remote Support Services, Inc. is a software development and support company that began in 1986 as a programming organization supporting a cooperative of rural hospitals in Missouri and Arkansas. Since then, RSS has become an industry leader in internet based systems for conducting HIPAA billing transactions.

During the 1990s, RSS developed Windows based applications that were some of the first applications that could edit and transmit electronic claims and process the 835 electronic remittance advice from Medicare. When the HIPAA legislation was introduced, these systems were replaced with applications that ran through secure web browsers using shared servers and the Software as a Service deployment model.

These popular applications are used by many healthcare providers, billing service agencies, and even other application development organizations that recognize their value and quality and have incorporated them in their healthcare software systems.

Our staff has become experienced in all sorts of application development using the Microsoft .NET environment and SQL Server. We have developed other custom applications and many custom modifications to these existing products.
